



Chemical Poisoning There are several symptoms of chemical poisoning whether by swallowing, touching or breathing: 1). Difficulty breathing 2). Changes in skin color 3). Headache or blurred vision 4). Dizziness 5). Irritated eyes, skin, throat 6). Unusual behavior 7). Clumsiness or lack of coordination 8). Stomach cramps or diarrhea |

Chemical Attacks 1). Listen for instructions from Incident Commander/local authorities. 2). Shut and lock windows and doors. 3). Turn off HVAC and fans 4). Take cell phone in shelter, if possible. 5). Shelter in internal room without windows and in highest elevation. 6). Block space between door and floor with wet towels. |
1). Notify 9-1-1 and Incident Commander. 2). Decontaminate as soon as possible. 3). Remove clothing and items in contact with body. Clothing should not be removed over the head; instead it should be cut off. 4). Place clothing in plastic bag. 5). Wash with soap and water. Blot with a cloth. Avoid rubbing or scraping skin. 6). Flush eyes. 7). Seek medical attention. |

1). Remove affected clothing and jewelry. 2). Flush skin with lots of cool water. 3). Eyes-Remove contacts, flush eyes from nose outward with cool water. 4). Gently brush the chemical off skin and away from you if no water is available. 5). Close eyes before wiping chemical off face, neck and shoulders. 6). Do NOT put medication on wound unless directed.. |

1). Close and lock center. 2). Move quickly. 3). Close car windows and air vents and turn off HVAC. 4). Follow evacuation route, do not deviate. |
